Vision Statement
Since its establishment, Resurrection School has seen a great deal of growth and change - both in the surrounding area of St.Albans West, and within the school itself. It began in 1978, with an enrolment of 139 pupils and today, is a school of around 430. We now offer a comprehensive curriculum in all major areas - Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Language other than English, Science, Technology, Visual and Performing Arts, Social Education, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, as well as maintaining specialist programs in Library, Arts, Italian, and Information Technology. The school has also grown physically with facilities to meet all of our needs. 1999 saw the commencement of a complete refurbishment of all areas of our school. Over the next few years, we will rejuvenate the surrounds of our school with gardens, shrubs, shade areas, new fences, etc., making it a very attractive place for children to learn.
The buildings will be upgraded providing the best for our children and staff. However, above and beyond this, the distinctive feature of Resurrection School is the commitment from all members of the community to the TOTAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILD.
This means that we endeavour to cater for the children's physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The ongoing development of the many aspects of life within Resurrection School depends on the involvement and commitment of all – students, parents, teachers and friends. We welcome you to be part of the journey!

Mission Statement
As educators at Resurrection Catholic Primary School, we are called upon to
Work with families in teaching children about God, Our Father, and His Son,
Jesus Christ, so that the children will have the support, knowledge and desire
to be led by the Holy Spirit towards a mature faith in God and his Church.
Work in partnership with our Parish and parents in the task of educating our
children in faith and the recognition of their place within the worshipping
community.
Know the background and wishes of our families in order to make informed
decisions about the children's education.
Be guided by Parish, Archdiocesan, State and Federal Policies.
Help children develop values and a sense of dignity.
Create a safe, happy and challenging educational environment that will enable
each child, with their individual differences and abilities, realize their
fullest potential.
Ensure that every child reaches their fullest potential in numeric and literacy.
Encourage each child to develop a sense of being an Australian and what that
could mean in terms of a global perspective.
Develop, within our children, an awareness and respect for the environment.
Develop in the children, an appreciation of, and the ability to express
themselves in the main forms of art, including literature, film, dance, drama,
music and fine arts.
Help our children to develop the skills of critical thinking and problem
solving.
Develop the children's ability and disposition to co-operate with others, and an
awareness of and respect for other ways of thinking and behaving. Our motivation
for this should be the Gospel values.
Work with a sense of Pastoral love in developing a Welfare approach that meets
the needs of all concerned students, staff and families.
Foster in children, a love for learning that will lead them to continue through
each level of formal education and on into a life that values ongoing learning.
